dsh-git is a third-party plugin for DeepSeek Harness (dsh), distributed as the npm package @easytz/dsh-git under the MIT license, that adds a visual Git panel to the bottom of the dsh sidebar so users can review changes, stage files individually, commit, push, switch branches and inspect recent history without leaving the session. Installation follows dsh's native plugin path: the package ships its own dsh.bundle layer along with a cordis.patch.yml, so running dsh plugin --profile <name> add @easytz/dsh-git installs and registers the plugin in one step with no hand-written patch required; after restarting dsh a new Git button appears at the bottom of the sidebar. Typical workflow starts by clicking the Git button to open the panel, then picking a target via the top workspace dropdown and, if applicable, a repository dropdown when the workspace root is not itself a repo but its immediate subdirectories are. Users stage files one by one with the + button beside each entry under Changes, type a commit message in the box directly under the branch row and press Commit, then push with Push ↑n, where n is the number of commits ahead of the remote, while the branch dropdown handles branch switching and shows ahead/behind counters. Undo only works on the newest commit and turns red for a three-second arming window: unpushed commits use reset --mixed to bring changes back to the working tree, already-pushed commits use revert to produce an inverse commit. The Recent commits section lists history newest-first with ○ unpushed and ● pushed markers, and clicking a row reveals the full message, changed files and per-file insertion/deletion counts. The panel is aimed at dsh users who prefer staying inside one session rather than switching to a terminal.

Requirements include dsh version 0.1.1-rc.2 or newer, the git binary on PATH, and pnpm available because dsh plugin add shells out to it; the <name> profile argument is mandatory, usually web for the desktop/web profile and tui for the terminal profile, and can be confirmed by listing $DSH_HOME/profiles/. When scanning for nested repositories the plugin only descends one level and skips node_modules, dist, build and dot-prefixed directories to avoid vendored dependencies polluting the list, defaulting to whichever repo's .git was modified most recently. Documented limitations cover undo supporting only the latest commit, rejected pushes not being auto-resolved (the panel instructs the user to run git pull in a terminal), and untracked files needing explicit staging because automatic inclusion is deliberately avoided.
