This is a native session archive manager plugin built exclusively for the DeepSeek Harness (DSH) WebUI. It addresses a gap in native DSH, which only allows hiding sessions to archive them but offers no native way to view, restore, or permanently delete archived sessions after the fact. To install the plugin, users run the official DSH CLI command npx @deepseek-ai/dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-archive-manager, then restart the DSH web client to activate it. Updating and uninstalling also follow the same workflow, using the update and remove subcommands respectively. Once activated, the plugin adds an “Archived” entry to the bottom of DSH’s main sidebar for quick access.

When you open the archive panel, all your archived sessions are grouped by workspace to match the organization of DSH’s main sidebar. The panel behaves just like the official sidebar, with support for instant filtering by session title or workspace, plus full text search across both user prompts and assistant replies in every session. You can click any archived session to open it and continue chatting without changing its archived status, or unarchive it with one click to put it back into your main workspace, preserving its original position. If you no longer need a session, you can permanently delete it, with a confirmation dialog to prevent accidental data loss.

This plugin was developed against DSH version 0.1.0-rc.6, and relies on DSH’s internal API shapes to work correctly. Because of this dependency on internal DSH structures, future DSH version upgrades may require plugin updates to maintain compatibility. There is one known limitation: if the plugin is hot-reloaded while sessions are running, those running sessions cannot be deleted until you restart DSH. This limitation only affects development or hot-reload workflows; normal usage after a single install is not affected, and even sessions archived before installing the plugin work as expected. The plugin is released under the open source MIT license.

An archived-session manager for DeepSeek Harness WebUI: an "Archived" entry at the sidebar footer opens a grouped archive panel — open a session to continue it, unarchive, or delete it (full live-agent teardown + physical log removal).

Native DSH only has the "archive" action (hides the session from the sidebar); there is no way to view, restore, or delete archived sessions. This plugin fills that gap.

Features

Compatibility

Developed against @deepseek-ai/dsh 0.1.0-rc.6. Relies on official internal shapes (workspaceRegistry.enqueueOperation, AgentHandle.dispose, the client-runtime service shapes); a dsh upgrade may require adaptation — if something misbehaves after upgrading, check whether this repo has caught up with the new version.

Install

From npm:

Uninstall

Then restart dsh web.

Known limitations

Sessions that were running while the plugin itself was hot-reloaded cannot be deleted afterwards — the plugin will refuse with a clear message asking you to restart dsh first. (Normal use is unaffected: install once, and everything — including sessions archived before the plugin existed — stays manageable.)
