dsh-cursor-codex connects DeepSeek Harness (dsh) to Cursor and the OpenAI Codex CLI via three channels: an ACP agent, an MCP server, or a headless worker. Use it to delegate coding tasks to dsh from your editor or CLI. Note: Cursor and Codex cannot load third-party ACP agents, so use the MCP channel for those editors.

Connect DeepSeek Harness (dsh) to the Cursor editor and the OpenAI Codex CLI — as an ACP agent, an MCP server, or a headless worker.

acp/ npm bundle @jeremy9682/dsh-acp: dsh plugin --profile acp add @jeremy9682/dsh-acpdsh --profile acp boots an Agent Client Protocol stdio server over your existing dsh composition (shared credentials, model settings, and session logs).

Quick start

# 1. Install dsh (or use `npx @deepseek-ai/dsh` everywhere)

Both 2b and 2c ship skills: install skills/cursor-delegate-to-dsh and skills/codex-delegate-to-dsh into the respective editor's skills directory so the agent knows when to delegate.

Why three channels?

Cursor and Codex are ACP agents, not ACP clients — neither can load a third-party ACP agent today. The full picture, verified against official docs, is in docs/integration-guide.md.

Verified

  • ACP profile: initializesession/newsession/prompt → streamed answer → end_turn (tested against dsh 0.1.0-rc.6).
  • MCP server: initializetools/listdsh_healthdsh_delegate real task (tested against dsh 0.1.0-rc.6).

Safe DSH upgrades for Cursor ACP

The Cursor provider includes dsh-cursor-upgrade-gate. It stages a requested DSH package away from the active installation, probes the cross-provider replay-filter behavior, applies the narrow compatibility patch only when the behavior is still broken, and requires an external Cursor smoke before an atomic current-symlink promotion. See cursor-provider/README.md. Direct global reinstall is intentionally outside this path because it can erase a local compatibility fix before validation.
