dsh-liquid-glass-theme is a visual theme plugin built specifically for DeepSeek Harness (DSH). It targets both the official DSH desktop client and the dsh web CLI across a wide version range, from 0.1.0-rc.5 through 0.2.0-rc.2, and registers itself as a Web client bundle via dsh.plugin with the row ID ui-liquid-glass. At runtime it dynamically locates the DSH store engine, preferring the newer @deepseek-ai/dsh-client-store package and falling back to @deepseek-ai/dsh-client-runtime/client, which lets a single build cover two non-overlapping DSH release eras without separate install paths.

Its core capability is a layered WebGL renderer that combines a fluid refractive environment base, Gaussian-blurred base glass on sidebars and panels, a physically-based liquid-lens shader (Snell refraction, chromatic dispersion, curvature, bevel highlights) on floating input boxes and focus components, and modal frosted glass on settings pages. It also ships nine built-in wallpapers — three 1080p live videos (DeepSeek, ELDEN RING, Thunderstorm Premonition) and six still images (Ayanami Rei, Konatsu 1 and 2, Star Trails, Summer Day, Puddle Reflection) — embedded as Base64 so they work fully offline with zero network dependency, and accepts user-supplied PNG/JPG/WebP images and MP4/WebM/MOV videos.

A typical user workflow starts with one of three installation paths. On the web profile the command is dsh plugin --profile web add "github:Rainpomelo/dsh-liquid-glass-theme#v2.0.3" followed by restarting dsh web. On the official desktop client users must open the in-app Plugin Manager because the launcher exclusively owns the desktop profile and rejects CLI mutations, then paste the same GitHub reference. It is also distributed through the DSH Skin Market for one-click installation. After enabling, users tune parameters such as ior (default 1.3, range 0.80–2.40), bulge (-1.50–2.50), dispersion (0.00–0.10), modalBlur (default 5, range 0–60), and bgLiquidAmp (0.55), saving presets from the Settings panel. Dependencies and limits worth noting: the package is roughly 150 MB, dominated by the three bundled 1080p videos (about 126 MB) for an out-of-the-box experience, with the remaining ~19 MB being the client bundle plus embedded wallpaper data; only one skin plugin may be active at a time; versions older than v2.0.1 ship without cordis.patch.yml and fail with a bundle-patch-missing error, so upgrading to v2.0.3 is required; built-in live videos can be removed post-install from ~/.dsh/wallpapers/; build.mjs only bundles via esbuild without type checking and no .d.ts files are published, so consumers reading source for types should run tsc --noEmit themselves; the project is MIT-licensed.
