This is a native DSH plugin built exclusively for DeepSeek Harness that provides Docker container management capabilities. It ships seven tools that cover common Docker operations including listing containers and images, checking container logs, inspecting container details, executing commands inside containers, managing container lifecycles, and checking Docker daemon health. The plugin calls the local docker CLI via DSH’s official subprocess service, passes all arguments as an independent argv array to eliminate shell injection risks, and enables approval gates for high-risk operations by default. It has zero additional runtime dependencies beyond a working local Docker installation.

You can install this plugin directly from the DSH command line using the command dsh plugin --profile web add @stardustlc/dsh-docker. The only requirement beyond DSH itself is that you have a working Docker installation on your local machine, and that the docker command is accessible in your system PATH. If the docker executable is not in your system PATH, you can manually specify its full location via the dockerPath configuration option in your DSH profile. You can also set a custom timeout for all Docker operations, or disable the default approval gates for high-risk actions if needed, though disabling these security gates is not recommended for regular use.

This plugin has been verified to work correctly on official DSH versions 0.1.5-rc.1 and 0.1.5-rc.2 with Node.js version 24.16.0. It requires the same Node.js version range as the installed DSH: either 22.x version 22.19.0 or higher, or Node.js 24 or higher. It is released under the permissive open-source MIT license, so it is free to use, modify, and redistribute for any purpose. It also includes multiple additional security protections such as container name validation, operation timeout clamping, and strict limits on log output length to prevent accidental or malicious harm to your system.
