To install it, you first need to have a working DSH installation with pnpm set up and a web profile configured, then run dsh plugin --profile web add @galactus/kabutack to pull the latest version from npm. After the installation finishes, you only need to restart your DSH instance to see the plugin in your settings menu.

This plugin is designed for DSH users who frequently switch between different work scenarios like software development, content writing, and academic research. The typical workflow is straightforward: you browse all your installed capabilities in the unified catalog, which sorts each capability type into separate tabs and supports full-text search to quickly find what you need. Next you create a custom role, assign the relevant set of capabilities to that role, and save the configuration. When you want to switch scenarios, just click activate on the role, and the plugin handles all capability changes automatically in the background.

All user role configurations and activation state are stored locally on your machine in the ~/.dsh/kabutack/ directory, so no external cloud services are required for any core functionality. The plugin automatically backs up corrupted data, uses atomic writes to prevent data loss, and logs all key operations to a local audit log for debugging. It blocks uninstallation of official DSH core plugins and itself to prevent accidental breaking changes to your DSH installation. The project is released under the permissive open-source BSD-3-Clause license, with pre-built files included for source installations.
