dsh-tts-bridge, also called Reading Bridge, is a plugin built specifically for DeepSeek Harness (DSH) that enables text-to-speech for DSH conversations using DeepSeek’s official web reading feature. It has two required components that both must be installed to work: a DSH-native plugin that runs inside DSH and watches your selected conversations to queue completed dialogue rounds, and a companion browser extension that runs in Chromium-based browsers. The extension pulls text from the DSH plugin’s queue and automatically triggers the built-in reading button on your logged-in DeepSeek web page.

The plugin is designed for users who prefer to listen to DSH conversations instead of staring at the screen for long periods. When you enable auto-read mode, it will automatically trigger reading after each full dialogue round completes. You can also manually choose any existing dialogue to read, pause playback at any time, bookmark dialogues you want to keep, and export all your bookmarked content to a Markdown file. It adds a draggable small card to the DSH interface that lets you control playback and select which conversations to listen to.

To use this plugin, you need a DSH installation with a web interface, a Chromium-based browser (Chrome, Edge, and Brave are supported, Firefox is not compatible), a personal DeepSeek account, and you must keep the DeepSeek web page open while using it. Before your first use, you need to manually click the reading button on the DeepSeek web page once, because this is a browser security restriction that cannot be bypassed. The plugin is open-source under the MIT license, it does not store any user account credentials, and it is subject to DeepSeek’s daily reading limit for all accounts.
