This is a native plugin built exclusively for DeepSeek Harness (DSH), called Chords, which adds a dual-pane card view for code generation and editing inside DSH. The left pane displays code with syntax highlighting and line numbers, while the right pane shows chunked natural language pseudocode explanations for each section of code. It comes with a range of quality of life features, including certainty labeling, linked anchor highlighting, in-place editing, version history, persistence, and tiered model routing based on code size. It also automatically switches to an English interface when running on non-Chinese system locales.

The plugin is designed for DSH users who generate and maintain code with natural language explanations inside agent conversations. When you ask the DSH agent to write code, the plugin is called automatically, and outputs the result as a dual-pane card instead of duplicating the code in the conversation text. You can hover over explanation blocks to highlight matching code lines, click either pane to scroll the other to the matching section, and make both block-level edits and full algorithm redesigns, all without cluttering your conversation history. Only one edit can run at a time per card, and you can stop an in-progress edit at any point.

To install the plugin, you need to have DeepSeek Harness version 0.1.0-rc.6 or an API-compatible version already installed, plus a working configured model route. It defaults to the deepseek-official model provider, but supports other providers as long as their corresponding DSH adapters are installed. Installation requires copying the plugin directory to your DSH node_modules and registering it in the cordis config before restarting DSH. The plugin is open source under the MIT license, all data is stored locally, idle documents expire after 14 days, and session data is automatically cleaned up when the session ends.
