AgentForge is a general-purpose agent workflow and engineering skill set distributed as an installable plugin for both Claude Code and DeepSeek Harness. The repository is explicitly designed around a zero-external-dependency contract: it does not use MCP servers, does not call the network at runtime, and does not require any project-installed tooling, so every capability ships inside the bundle itself. The package delivers six skills — research, architecture-scout, diff-review, implementation-workflow, complexity-audit, and mutation-testing — together with five sub-agents (researcher, diff-reviewer, implementer, complexity-auditor, mutation-auditor). Skills and agents live once on disk; Claude Code discovers them natively through skills/<name>/SKILL.md and agents/<name>.md, while DeepSeek Harness mounts a zero-dependency bridge plugin in src/index.js that re-registers the same assets as a skill provider and as a single agentforge tool whose agent enum enumerates every role.

Installation follows each host's native command surface. On Claude Code, users run claude plugin marketplace add Lixiuxiu559/AgentForge followed by claude plugin install agentforge@agentforge, then restart Claude Code to activate; a local-path variant allows in-place development loading. On DeepSeek Harness, the recommended path is dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-agentforge, because dsh plugin is a pnpm forwarder that resolves the dependency, inspects the declared dsh.bundle field in package.json, and appends the bundle into dsh.profile.bundles. GitHub shorthand, tag-pinned, and local-directory installs are also documented, with explicit warnings that git installs have no version gating — lockfile commits move with every push to main, so npm is the only release-gated channel. Typical users are engineers who want repeatable review, complexity, mutation, and implementation workflows inside either CLI.

Dependencies and limits are minimal but strict. The only hand-written code is the zero-dependency bridge in src/index.js, there is no prepare script, so DSH never needs allowBuilds. Tool-name drift between hosts (Claude Code's Read versus DSH's read) is reconciled by the bridge, and unmapped names are dropped with a warning. maxTurns is deliberately omitted because DSH lacks an equivalent and silent truncation would fabricate false negatives on read-only audits. The bridge tool cannot reuse reserved DSH names such as subagent, otherwise plugin loading fails; a cordis.patch.yml line can rename it via config.toolName. License is MIT; node tools/doctor.mjs performs dual-host validation including DSH-specific checks, and the profile must be restarted after install because patchReload: live only watches user patch files and does not re-run apply().
