dsh-chat-import is a native DSH plugin that lets users import full-context conversation histories from over 27 different AI coding agents into DeepSeek Harness. Each imported conversation becomes an independent resumable session in DSH, with tool calls, results, reasoning, timestamps and other metadata preserved intact. It also supports exporting DSH sessions back to Claude Code, Codex, Kimi Code and OpenCode, enabling bidirectional incremental sync between DSH and external agents that is disabled by default. The plugin adds a sidebar panel to DSH for accessing import, export, history management and sync features.

This plugin is built for developers who switch between multiple AI coding tools or want to resume old conversations started in other agents directly in DSH. A typical workflow starts with the user exporting conversation history from their original AI coding tool in the expected format. Next, the user runs the bulk import tool through the DSH sidebar panel, which converts all exported conversations into individual DSH sessions automatically. After that, the user can continue working on any existing conversation right where it left off, or export an updated session back to the original tool if needed.

The plugin is released under the open source MIT license, so it is free to use and modify for any purpose. It only handles conversation history migration; if you need to migrate configurations like skills, hooks or global settings, you can pair it with the companion tool dsh-movein. The only documented limitation is that failed ghost retry steps with duplicate call IDs are automatically dropped during import, which prevents DSH’s conversation folding feature from failing.
