This is a native glassmorphism theme skin built exclusively for DeepSeek Harness’s web UI. It can be installed directly via the DSH CLI with the single command dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-liquid-glass. Once installed, you need to restart DeepSeek Harness once for the theme bundle to load properly. After restarting, you can find a new “Liquid Glass” entry in the Settings → General menu, where you can toggle the effect on or off and adjust its settings. It overrides all default UI elements via DSH’s official ThemeRuntime API to apply the consistent glass effect across the entire interface.

When enabled, the theme applies full-shell transparency to every UI element in DeepSeek Harness, including the page base, cards, panels, sidebar, chat bubbles, and code blocks. It includes a single master transparency slider that lets you set the opacity anywhere from 3% to 95%, with higher values revealing more of your custom background. You can also set a full-page custom background by either uploading a local image or pasting a direct image URL. Uploaded images are automatically compressed for storage in your browser’s localStorage to save space on your local device.

All settings and custom backgrounds stay stored locally in your browser, and the plugin has no server-side component or telemetry, so your personal customizations never leave your device. It supports both light and dark color schemes out of the box, and integrates with DeepSeek Harness’s official public client runtime and theme APIs. To uninstall, you can run the single command dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-liquid-glass, and any remaining preferences left in localStorage are harmless and do not impact DSH performance. Liquid glass for DeepSeek Harness — one toggle, and the whole interface turns to glass.

Translucency built for DeepSeek Harness: the page base, cards, panels and chat bubbles all go see-through over your own background image, with a single slider for exactly how much glass you want. Nothing else — the best tools are the simple ones.

Install

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-liquid-glass

Open Settings → General — a Liquid Glass row appears. It is ON by default; restart once after install.

What you get

  • Full-shell transparency: every surface the shell paints — page base, cards, panels, sidebar, chat bubbles, code blocks — goes translucent through the official ThemeRuntime token-override layer. Neutral white on the light scheme, near-black on dark.
  • One master transparency slider (3%–95%): higher values reveal more of the background.
  • Full-page custom background: upload a local image (auto-compressed for localStorage) or paste a URL. It spans the whole page behind the glass.

Privacy and compatibility

  • Settings and uploaded backgrounds stay in this browser's localStorage; the plugin has no server component and sends no telemetry.
  • The UI integrates through DeepSeek Harness's public client runtime, locale, slot and theme APIs.
  • Light and dark color schemes are supported. A DSH restart is required once after installation so the client bundle can be loaded.

The smoke test runs the published client bundle inside a mocked DSH browser runtime and exercises registration, lifecycle, settings, persistence, wallpaper controls and slider bounds:
