SpecFusion is a search tool for Chinese API documentation built for AI coding agents, letting developers find API parameters, error codes and documentation for over 20 major Chinese domestic open platforms without leaving their coding environment. It supports integration with multiple AI agent platforms including Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor, and DeepSeek Harness. It currently indexes over 67,000 total documentation entries across all supported platforms. Users can install it via the skills CLI for global installation across supported agents, manually add it to individual platforms, or install the official DSH plugin via the DSH CLI.

It is designed for developers who are working on integrations with Chinese third-party APIs, and it fits directly into existing AI coding workflows. When a developer mentions a supported platform name in their agent conversation, SpecFusion automatically triggers a search and returns relevant matching documentation directly in the chat. Users can also explicitly trigger a search with the /specfusion command if auto-trigger does not pick up the keyword correctly. The pre-deployed public cloud service means no extra configuration or local backend setup is required after installation. This makes it very easy to start using right after installation.

SpecFusion is released under the permissive MIT open source license, and it supports self-hosting for users who want to run a private instance. Developers can use the built-in sync scripts to pull the latest documentation updates from all supported platforms and build their own local search database. The project uses Node.js with Fastify for the API backend, SQLite with FTS5 full-text search and jieba Chinese word segmentation to improve search accuracy for Chinese queries.
