Agents Anywhere is an open-source, cross-device Agent workbench distributed under the MIT license. It ships native clients for macOS, Windows, Android and iOS, a web console hosted at web.agents-anywhere.com, and a headless Connector CLI for Linux or server machines without a GUI. The product connects to coding-agent runtimes such as Codex, Claude Code and DeepSeek Harness, exposing their sessions, file browsers, terminals and approval dialogs to any logged-in client while execution stays on the workstation where the Connector runs. Self-hosting is provided through a Docker Compose stack that bundles PostgreSQL, Redis, migrations and the web server, with first-run setup completed via a token printed in the Server logs.

The typical workflow begins by installing the desktop client or running the Connector CLI on a working machine, then configuring a supported runtime, account and working directory for the target project. From a phone, tablet or another computer the same account can browse the device, project and session timeline, approve tool calls, answer runtime input requests, upload and download attachments, and open interactive remote shells to continue the task. This control-from-anywhere pattern targets developers and small teams who want long-running agent jobs to keep progressing while they move between devices, and who prefer keeping actual command execution on their own hardware rather than in a cloud sandbox.

Dependencies for local development are Python 3.12 or newer with the uv package manager, Node.js 22 with Corepack plus Yarn, plus the platform toolchains for the desktop, web and mobile targets. Limits include an unsigned Windows installer, Android requiring version 8.0 or later, iOS builds distributed only through TestFlight, in-app update endpoints still pointing at placeholder URLs so 2.0.0 packages must be fetched manually from the ModelScope mirror, and Cloud servers physically located in mainland China for the best regional latency. Runtime capabilities differ per agent, so available models, permissions and operations are governed by whatever runtime the user connects, including per-agent API costs.
