dsh-diagram is a native plugin built exclusively for DeepSeek Harness (DSH), that enables DSH agents to turn content already understood in a DSH session into an editable Excalidraw diagram canvas. It can be installed with a single command using the DSH CLI, via npx, a global DSH install, or from a local DSH source checkout. Once installed, the plugin adds the canvas-diagram skill, which is accessible through the DSH / command menu, and will also be automatically triggered by natural language requests for diagrams. It embeds a live preview of the new diagram directly in the chat flow, and opens the full editable editor in the dedicated Canvas tab.

To create your first diagram, first ensure DSH has already fetched the target content through its built-in file or web tools, so the agent already understands the structure and key points of the content. Next, you can either select canvas-diagram from the / command menu, or explicitly ask the agent to create a diagram, which will automatically route to the plugin’s skill. After the agent finishes generating the initial diagram structure, you can open the Canvas tab to refine it manually, adjusting nodes, labels, and layout to your liking.

The plugin is released under the open-source MIT license, and has clear system requirements that must be met for it to work correctly. You need a DSH version of at least 0.1.5-rc.1, Node.js version ^22.19.0 or >=24.0.0, and pnpm 10 or newer available on your system PATH. It also requires DSH Web to be bound to 127.0.0.1, as it will not run if DSH is exposed to the LAN. A known limitation is that pnpm 11 may not resolve the latest version within 24 hours of release, so users need to pin the version manually in that case.

Turn an article you have read in DSH into a diagram you can keep editing, saving, and exporting.

A canvas plugin for DeepSeek Harness (DSH) Desktop and Web. The Agent drafts the structure; you refine text and layout in Excalidraw inside the same session, without rebuilding the result in another app.

In DeepSeek Harness Desktop (recommended): open Plugins → Add plugin, enter the package below, click Install, then Enable now.

Edit a DSH canvas, save, and export
