SpecWorkflow is a shareable workflow skill pack that works with DeepSeek Harness and dozens of other agent tools that follow the Agent Skills convention. It provides a structured, step-by-step process for AI agents to handle work from rough initial requests all the way through to final delivery and bug fixes. For DSH, users can install it via the command line dsh plugin --profile web add specworkflow, and for other agents, it can be installed via npx to the correct skills directory automatically. Users can also specify a custom skills path for unsupported agents if needed.

SpecWorkflow does not force the full multi-stage workflow on every request. Small, simple changes like text edits or minor style tweaks are handled directly by the agent without going through the full process. Only ambiguous, cross-module, product-facing, data or permission sensitive or high-risk work is routed through the full workflow, which follows the ordered sequence of requirement grilling, spec writing, implementation, delivery review, and fix review if needed. All workflow artifacts are stored in a dedicated .spec-workflow folder in the user's project to keep project code separate from agent working files.

SpecWorkflow is released under the open source MIT license, so it is free to use and modify for any purpose. After installing the package for DSH, users can run dsh --profile web --dump-config to verify the installation was successful, checking that the specworkflow entry appears in the config output. Uninstalling the package from DSH is done via the command dsh plugin --profile web remove specworkflow, where users replace web with their actual profile name if they use a different one. This tool does not require any additional dependencies beyond the agent tool it is installed into, and works out of the box after installation.

SpecWorkflow

SpecWorkflow is a shareable workflow skill pack for DeepSeek Harness and other Agent Skills-compatible tools. It gives an agent a disciplined path from a rough request to requirements, an implementation spec, code execution, delivery review, repair planning, bug diagnosis, and source-backed research.

It is intentionally not a heavy process for every request. Small, concrete edits can stay direct; ambiguous, cross-module, product-facing, data, permission, API, or release-sensitive work gets promoted into the full workflow.
