It is a DSH-native plugin that adds OpenAI ChatGPT Codex as an LLM provider for DeepSeek Harness. Credentials are stored only on the local host at $DSH_HOME/codex-oauth.json with 0600 permissions, so tokens never reach the browser. The plugin comes with a default catalog of six core Codex models, and supports adding custom models including context window variants like 272k or 1M. It automatically sets compaction budgets based on suffixes in model IDs, refreshes expired sessions when requests return 401 errors, and retries failed requests once after a successful refresh.

The plugin does not lock versions of core DSH host packages, marking them as optional peers with any allowed version. It requires Cordis version >=4.0.2 <5.0.0, and pins the DSH core version as a dev dependency only for the compilation target. If dsh-model-switch v0.2 or newer is installed, this plugin will register an optional adapter that reuses existing credentials for Codex search capabilities. It supports installation from both GitHub release tarballs and source checkouts. The plugin is released under the open source MIT license, and all release artifacts are posted with SHA256 checksums for end-to-end integrity verification.

dsh-llm-codex

ChatGPT Codex integration for DeepSeek Harness. This plugin is a separate provider route (codex) and settings namespace (llm-codex). It does not declare apiKeyEnv, does not read or write ~/.codex/auth.json, and does not share a credential file with dsh-codex-connect.

The package root exposes the Cordis plugin contract. The same artifact exports ./client, which contributes the Codex card under Settings → LLM Providers.

Compatibility

DSH peer and development dependency ranges accept 0.1.7-alpha.2 and later releases. Cordis peers accept >=4.0.4 <5.0.0.

Verified Hosts in package.json#dsh.compatibility.dshReleases are evidence, not an allowlist. Unknown newer Hosts warn once and keep the normal mount path. Only a reproduced failure is blocklisted.

catalogId and the unresolved unknown account state are attached at runtime. Published dsh-llm-providers-ui 0.2.8 omits those fields and treats unknown as unconnected; they only take effect on a newer Owner.

The repository tracks release-ready lib artifacts, so GitHub installation needs no build-script allowlist. A source checkout can use a link installation after running pnpm run build.

Management RPC

Settings and authentication management use the authenticated /api/plugin-rpc/codex fetch route. The Host /api carrier applies its Host/Origin checks, cookie authentication, and body limit before dispatch; this plugin has no separate remote-management switch.

Web configuration

Open Settings → LLM Providers → Codex. Sign in with ChatGPT starts the official ChatGPT OAuth flow, opens the system browser, and stores the session only on the Host at $DSH_HOME/codex-oauth.json (mode 0600). The card then shows usage limits. Sign out deletes that file. The browser never receives tokens.
