dsh-cli is an interactive terminal UI plugin for DeepSeek Harness (DSH), distributed as askdkc's independently developed fork of chimney's dsh-TUI. It renders streaming Markdown, tool cards, inline images, and Mermaid diagrams inside a DSH session, while a pixel whale animation, a context bar, a live TPS gauge, and a clickable timeline give the harness a richer TUI. Installation requires Node.js ^22.19 or >=24, pnpm 11, a DeepSeek Harness source checkout with dependencies already installed, and a DEEPSEEK_API_KEY. Users clone the repository with --recurse-submodules, build a local tarball via node scripts/with-publish-manifest.mjs npm pack --ignore-scripts, then register it inside the harness tree with pnpm dsh plugin --profile dsh-cli add "@askdkc/dsh-cli@file:${TARBALL}" before launching pnpm dsh --profile dsh-cli.

The everyday workflow revolves around a set of slash commands. /resume opens the session manager with resume, fork, rewind, and background-run capabilities, /auth connects providers such as OpenAI, Claude, OpenCode, OpenRouter, Hermes Agent, Infron, and OrcaRouter, and /bg keeps a session running until the TUI exits. /model opens a centered picker with Favorites, Recent, and provider sections, where Ctrl+F toggles a favorite, Ctrl+A connects a provider, and /model seek deep performs an order-independent search; /lang switches the interface language separately from the working-status line that follows each accepted request. dsh-cli targets the latest DSH release and is primarily validated against Harness version 0.2.0-rc.2, with older supported versions listed in ADAPTER.md. Its license is MIT, the bundled 22-frame pixel whale animation is reused from lhh010's BSD-3-Clause dsh-ui-whale project, and the copyright header retains both chimney's original notice and dkc's fork notice. The first interactive launch registers dsh-cli for new shells, and updates must always be performed by rebuilding the tarball and reinstalling via the explicit @askdkc/dsh-cli@file:绝对路径 form, because a bare tarball reference can fail with ENOENT once a previous file: dependency archive has been removed.

Quick Start

Requires Node.js ^22.19 || >=24, pnpm 11, a DeepSeek Harness source checkout with dependencies installed, and DEEPSEEK_API_KEY. We aim to support the latest DSH release. The primary validated Harness version is 0.2.0-rc.2; older supported versions are listed in ADAPTER.md.

Clone recursively to fetch submodules. In an existing checkout, run git submodule update --init --recursive before installation.
